Liver biopsy results are in!

I got my results back.  Just to refresh anyone, I was infected Oct2008.  Three VL tests between Sep2009 and Jun2010...800, 50k, and 80k.  Just had my liver biopsy.  Looks like I'm at stage 1 with grade 1.  No iron.  No fatty liver.  So my question (as I'm pondering what my treatment future holds) is what does that truly mean?  Is it as good as I should have hoped for or is it somewhat advanced for infection less than 2 years.  What would you do?  Treat?  Wait?  Clinical trial?  Thanks for all responses and support!

that is a good score.  you are going to have to treat.  i would wait for the new pi's to come out and treat then.  research shows that the sooner you treat, the better your liver will recover...so treat.

what is your genotype?

I would run the IL28b bloodtest with LabCorp at this point to help narrow down
tx decisions.

I am kind of surprised that you are stage 1 after 2 years. I would guess that is early stage one since your grade 1 is so low. that being said, you have minimal damage, and I would try to get into a trial or wait for better drugs. You don't want to go through tx more then once  unless there is no choice.
