Liver friendly pain medicnes

by daniels, Aug 25, 2001 12:00AM
Are there any prescribable pain, blood pressure, and sleep medicines that are liver friendly if you have cirrhosis caused by HepC not Alcohol use? My GI has prescribed Ambien, Tiazac, and aleve or tylenol lowest dose, and ativan for anxiety. but he also gave me vioxx for joint pain which I did not take because I had read it was damaging to liver. I have early cirrhosis and am very careful not to take anything harmful to my liver, I only take the Ativan the day before and after my Pegintron shot. I have esponded but am now experiencing leg, bone pain and would like to know what is the safestthing for me to take. Thank you.
