Looking for support and assistance ...

Toxic Hepatitis from Halothane was my diagnoses.

Anyone out there know of any other survivors of Halothane Hepatitis? I really need some moral support.

I survived the AST 1760 and INR of 3.9 ... and several bouts of peri-cardial effusion were diagnosed as complications of the liver failure.

In February 2005 it will be 5 years and I am still in severe pain in my liver area, at times the pain radiates into my right shoulder. Cannot sleep on my right side.

I also continue to have severe pain in my chest area once in a while. I do not run for an ECHO every time though. Painfi; to sleep on the left side during these time periods.

Does anyone have pain from their liver or as a result of their liver conditions?

I suffer 24/7 and the pain is only bearable because I refuse the pain to drive me crazy.

I was on liquid morphine and MSContin until 1.5 years ago. Took myself off and now am on a hydromophone for the pain. These meds only lower the pain so I can walk and look after my children and myself.

Does anyone know of better pain control?

I was so sorry to read your post; sounds as though you are really struggling right now.  I don't have any personal experiences to share with you but others will be along soon with help and advice for you;  I am asuming you've talked over your symtpoms with your Doctor?
