Thanks , just come out of a meeting with one of the top hep c docs in NYC
Hepatitis C Research Center.
He is telling me that I can take all drugs no problem even the occasional glass
of wine.
Well in the end it comes down what you believe in and your absolutely right
we are all different.
So I will stay away from any medication and alcohol until I see my situation
improving. Only in an emergency I will take medication.
The physician who stumbled upon my infection is a GP.
I think you are pretty safe taking it then but the physician who stumbled on the Hep C...is he a Hepatologist or GP? Try not to stress over something you haven't begun-
we are all different. I know some who had no sides-some very mild, many, many get thru it in stride. I'd ask for a mild anti-anxiety-but thats me. Good luck!
yes, it is the same physician that stumbled upon my infection
he gave me sumatriptan that was before dx and lorazepam after because the news
kept me up at night for a week.
i have been doing a lot of research and i know to watch stress level but some
days.....
yesterday while sitting in my physician office getting intravenous vit c ala ect...
going over my fibrosure results , getting an email from dr. emmet keefe from
stanford regarding alinia to talk to my physian , on top of that hep c research center in nyc
calls to confirm appointment with dr. ira jacobson who is doing ongoing geno 1
alinia plus soc trial all while i am getting my vitamins
although i physically feel better it gave me a migraine and sleepless night
and i am not even on tx yet.
Did you tell the prescribing physician you had Hep C; F2 Fibrosis?
Like you say every drug in the world has a liver disease warning.
Ergo no one with HepatitisC can take anything.
The liver (even a Hep C liver) is tough and with stage 2 fibrosis your liver will be metabolizing normally,so as long as you don't overdose you should be fine.
