Low globulin

by dacocp, Oct 11, 2007 09:14PM
Hi,

I got hepatitis on may this year (about 5 months ago).
I got over the acute phase really quickly.
By the second week I had already returned to my every day activity and I only felt tired the first couple of days of work.
My blood tests turned out ok after a month of the disease.

A couple of days ago, I got another liver function test just to make sure (because I have had one beer per week the last 3 weeks).
All the values are ok but one.
My globulin value is low:

Total proteins:   7.1 g/dL
Albumin:           4.5 g/dL
Globulin:           1.73 g/dL

It may be important to say that I think I'm about to catch a cold (I have a soart throat).

I want to know if this is something to worry about (liver damage) or if it only has to do with the soar throat thing.

Thanks
