I am also trying to find information about the M13-099 study and how it compares to the Gilead Study I previously posted about. Any info is appreciated!
A Randomized, Open-label Study to Evaluate the Safety and Efficacy of
ABT-450/Ritonavir/ABT-267 (ABT-450/r/ ABT-267) and ABT-333
Coadministered with Ribavirin (RBV) in Adults with Genotype 1 Chronic
Hepatitis C Virus (HCV) Infection and Human Cirrhosis (TURQUOISE-II)
Hey, I'm on the Turquoise-II study and have been for two weeks now. The ABT-267 seems to cause a mild headache but nothing that really distracts me. I've also had some fatigue, but I got a cold the weekend I started treatment so that may play into it. The really great news is that my viral load has dropped in a huge way to only 45. That was last week's bloodwork, so I'm hoping that next week when I get my results that it will show undetectable. The reason why I chose this treatment was because the combination of drugs seemed to be particularly effective at not only targeting the virus, but also preventing viral breakthrough. We have to remember that these are trials and most of them are only in phase three so it's early days yet. They say that there will be a three year follow up after this trial finishes, which is something I'm likely to sign up for. All the best with your research!
