Probably OK, but did you know that there is a prescription form of silymarin? It is called LEGALON. Sometimes herbs work better than the extract, and sometimes the opposite is true. Good luck and HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

Of course I think about you, how could I not? I've grown rather attached to you and it's comforting to see your posts, though I'm not sure why, some kind of wierd calming factor? Maybe it revolves around consistency since so much else seems outside our control.

Nevertheless, I'm glad to see you post. I hope your reason for staying away is anchored in something positive.

Very warm regards,
Debbe

Silymarin is the active ingrediant in milk thistle. It is sold as such in some countries but I don't know if it is really any different than what you buy at health food stores.
I have read that milk thistle actually helps rebuild liver cells.  If you are already finished with tx, I haven't heard of any reason not to take it.

My back pain: The specialist said: I am fine and just tensed back muscle. Though I am watching myself.

Milk Thistle: I am not sure if i can or cannot take it. Need more advice?

I have been taking Milk Thistle as someone else told me that it was a good idea as I have liver damage.  I really checked a around before I started to take it as well as asking my doctor.  She said that it can't hurt me, as it can only help.

I will continue the Milk Thistle reguardless of what others say!

If you have allergies to ragweed or other grasses and pollens, be careful with the milk thistle.  It can trigger rashes and breathing difficulties.  I for one could not handle it.
