MRI and edema?

I recently had an open-sided MRI for some back pain that I had been experiencing.  The day after the MRI, my ankles and feet began to swell.  Within the next two days, my feet and legs were so tight it was painful to walk.  My physician ran a number of tests without a definite cause for the extreme edema.

My question is, are there any studies that link lower extremity edema to MRI's.  I might mention too that I did not have the contrast material used during the MRI so the idea of having a reaction to that die is not a possibility.

This is a forum for Hepatitis C sufferers.

Thought there might be someone here with some experience, there are other forums within MedHelp that might offer you better feedback.

good luck**
