MRI

Would like some feed back so I am not worried all weekend until I see the specialist next week.  I had an Ultrasound also a test like Fibersure.  Anyway I had a message from him stating the scan was wonderful, ultrasound ok but would like to do follow up MRI and also another blood test (the one for tumor marker) anyway, do must of you think that this is just routine safe follow-up or do you think maybe they saw something in the ultrasound that would make them want to test further.  It is just going to be a very long weekend worrying.  Has anyone had anything similuar to this?

if you had a biopsy, any other test is not necessary. Some drs like to milk the insurance company as much as they can.  I never had a scan, MRI or fibrosure(which is not a very good substitute for biopsy).  We went for the biopsy and got all the answers needed. The ultrasound might help with other organs problems, but if it is for the liver alone, it is not the best diagnostic tool for fibrosis.  The AFP marker is done routinely in viral hepatitis.
