Many Questions

I wish every one a healthy recovery.

I do not lean toward natural cures. I have read some on SAM-E. I know what it is and what it is suppose to do. Does anyone here have an opinion or experience with SAM-E in addition to prescribed tx? Does it help?

My Gastro-interologist said Milk Thistle won't help, but it won't hurt either. I'm sure he will say the same about SAM-E.

My baseline blood test revealed that I may have rheumatoid arthritis and my thyroid is either hyper or hypo something. My Dr won't let me start tx until this is cleared up. I have read about toasted thyroids from tx here on this board, but I haven't read anything on ra. Does tx cause ra or just make it a great deal worse?

One more question. Is one of the symptons of HCV memory loss and/or "foggy brain", even before tx?

Thanks for your response. I read the post below after I posted my thread. I guess it's good to read all the new posts so I don't ask redundant questions. Thanks again.

if you do a web search on extra  hepatic manifestations of hep c, you will see studies on  arthritis and hep c, plus other conditions related to hep c that do not involve the liver directly.  there was a thread earlier on sam-e that you might find if you scroll down.
