Missed a dose......

Hubby is of 65 kg and taking RIBA 1200 mg per day.....Yesterday he missed a dose......Can he take an extra dose of 400mg today than it would be 1600mg.........need suggestions......

I missed one.  I'm going to try and keep from missing more.  My doc said, it's gone, don't worry about it.

Hi agree with pooh i can understand it that he missed a dose i know from your other posts that he is having a really hard time of it but please dont take extra  to make up for the missed dose it would just be too much. I hope he will soon improve stay with it best to you both Jules

Don't sweat it, missing a dose should not effect his treatment, a pattern of this then yes... Just go on as normal... Riba has a long half life... Best to both of you...

No, if he missed a dose yesterday, then he missed that dose. Do not try to make it up today. Ribavirin has a long half life so his blood level should be okay as long as he does not keep missing doses.
