Mssed a dose

I Was so zoney last night. Slept all afternoon n then got up, read posts n aye my fat n thot I took it when I saw an empty wrapper. I realized 1st thing this morning I missed it. I only have a weeks worth left n I have 2 extra pills. I take shot 8 tonight - 1/2 dose. New Rx company are working on transferring script to get it mailed. Sry so zoney. It's ok, right? I'm just sooo sleepy. Gettn ready for work. Maybe not a good idea to live alone any more.. The cumulative effect is hitting i giess plus low platelets m hmg. Karen :)

Yes, I'm listening... Thanks for the slap on the head. Called a little meeting w/ my family n friends. We're gonna hammer something out. I'm ready to make "some" concessions. I have to work. Single girl.. I don't need to be alone. I'm embarrased to admit how messy this place is. My lesson plans are a good focus for me, my gradebook is caught up and work is really a bright spot in my day.
With low platelets n hmg I really need help just managing meds and home life. What a great bunch you are. I'm a thinker and a doer. There are not very many people in the world that I have ever had to rely on. I'm counting on you guys. And you always come through for me and each other.

you are doing a lot - just try to keep treatment in number 1 place and try not to overextend yourself.  Take care of yourself....ginger p

I too missed a dose and didn't realize until after 6 hours, my study team told me to wait until next dose.

Your doctor should have given you a started kit for keeping pegasys cold if you have to travel and a pill box at least my doctor did. I keep my cell phone alarm set for three times a day when I have to take my pills. Funny thing is I eat and then I still have to check the pill box and the incivek wrapper to make sure I tool my pills. It going to happen the more tired you get you're going to forget and forgetting is not an option. I agree get  some more time for yourself. Can't be scatter brains when It comes to this therapy and be careful with the xanax because they will cause you to forget more then usual and that's coming from someone who is using Valium to control the anxiety. Hi Karen,

I agree with Billy - its time to put yourself first.  We all have a problem with this but now is the time.  Take a few days off from work and get rest until your strength is back - this is important for you at all levels.  I am starting a new trial today and am actually taking my own advice instead of working every day including weekends like I did the first time I treated.  Best, jsf52

due to brainfog  i had to use a   7 day pill box  so i wouldnt forget  or double dose  which i did on the riba once...felt like crap when i did too

karen.....i think your going to have to make some changes in your life style....like right away...getting through tx should be # 1 in your life...everybody and everything should come after your health....i think you stop working...don't be scared to let folks know whats going on with your hep...if they know how serious your condition is you'll get help....its time.....and yes you should be living with someone...and you should have an organized pill container...i hate to be so forward but i'm really concerned about this....make a quick change...i would call people for you ..any of that...i'm much better on the phone then on the net....good luck.....billy

PI recomendation for missed dose is if within 4 hrs of dose time go ahead and take it, if passed 4 hrs take next dose on time

I don't think that missing 1 dose is going to hurt, especially since you have had such a good early response. What works for me is every morning I pull out 1 day 3 tab strip and throw the empty wrappers away as soon as I take it, that way I can look and see how many I have left for the day also I use one of those weekly 2 dose a day pill box for the riba to keep track of those daily. If I remember correctly you are a part of the friday night darts club so your shot is not due until tommorow. Have a great day Karen :)

8 weeks in shouldn't matter with the riba but you should take the PI asap if you missed dose.
