My brother...

About four weeks back, I posted about my brother being diagnosed with cirrhosis of the liver and hep c.  Now, after many, many tests and  having his belly tapped three times, he has been diagnosed with liver cancer that has spread to the blood vessels and bones.  His AFP was 10,000.  Of course, now he is ineligible for a liver transplant.  She said he would not liver a year and that it looks like he only has months.  3 months, 6 months?  We don't know.  It's is God's hands.  .  Doc prescribed Nexavar to slow down the progression of the cancer.  If he doesn't tolerate the Nexavar well, he wants not to take it.  My brother just turned 57 on April 7th.  Anyone out there who has experience with Nexavar?

On Friday, May 2, my brother passed away.  He was on Nexavar for 9 days and could not tolerate it.  He began vomiting blood on the ninth day and passed away 36 hours later.   We are still in shock.
