Need Advice. Is a Rash That Looks Like Measles

or chicken pox normal so early in tx? I have had a shingles vaccine, but both legs, esp. thighs look like a measles attack. I have used Am Lactin tonite and use .05% Fluocinonide from derm for itchy blisters that crop up. Usually these go away in a couple of days and I'm not itching or clawing...yet. Thighs so far are the worst body parts. Any help is appreciated-I did read WD's post about his rash and God Bless You, Billy!

I just got back from the triple tx class and they told me no matter what the rash is to report it to the dr so he can look at it.

Hey dude, I started tx in Aug 08 and the working world was fine. I could not work while txing, just couldn't! When I finished in March 09 the working world had stopped spinning, standing still to this day. Have very little to do. The rash was the hardest thing to deal with for me. It is what caused me to stop tx early. Really did think I was going to lose my right eye. Same thing with my right ear! Too weird!! NOTHING on the left eye or ear. I was UND at week 2 so I felt ok stopping the riba at week 24. I continued inf and alinia to week 36. People complain about the inf but it was the riba that was killing me. As soon as I stopped it I was able to go back to work. Not at 100% mind you but I could put in a full and productive day. jerry-- ps I had trouble with my eye lid and ear for over a year after tx. They still itch every now and then. Weird stuff that riba.

I struggled with the dreaded rash through out tx. What helped me was to LATHER my entire body twice daily with body lotion. (I tried every thing on the market and settled on Cetaphil--many had good luck with Gold Bond-red cap-but the menthol didn't work for me) My wife helped with this. A couple of times when my skin got settled down I tried to stop only to have it flare up again. Also NO hot or even warm showers and that only once a week. When a really bad place flared up I used Clobetasol propionate prescribed by my hepatologist, a real life saver. Doc said to use it sparingly. I had to use latex gloves to apply it as the skin on my finger tips started to painfully crack and bleed. (wow, it's been a couple of years now and I have forgotten just how miserable txing was!!) Once my right eye lid was so inflamed I thought I might lose my eye. Though the directions said not to use it (CP) on your face my eye doc said to and it fixed it. good luck to all. jerry

Wow - those pictures look pretty mild compared to the rash I got from BI 201335/Riba/Inf clinical trial.  My rash oddly enough covers roughly the area of my liver starting under my right breast and wrapping around to below the back of my shoulder blade.  It is an angry red/purple colour, itches a little and is slightly raised.  The rest of my body seems to have invisible blister-like bites that itch off and on.  I assumed this was from the Riba.  I was prescribed HC2% but still using aveeno and .1% betamethasone crm.

Only 11 days into tx with just peg/riba seems to me awful early to be getting a bad rash, if itwas me i would put a call into my doctor, maybe a reaction to the drugs?

Not on tele-will begin Vic on 10/22-this is just w/riba and Peg; think this is mostly riba. Keeping a eye on it-can't help but keep an eye on it.
