Need help interpretating Quantasure test results

Since I don't have insurance I ordered a Hep.c viral load test through LabCorp (Quantasure) and received the results today from them but I am having trouble interpreting them.  It says <43 IU/ml is my result.  I am used to having the sensitive Heptimax test which has a sensitivity level of 5 and was wondering if anyone has had the Quantasure done and if this <43 is indeed undetectable.  My last Heptimax (2 months ago) stated I was undetectable and it has been 1 year plus that I have been off treatment.  Any help would be appreciated. I wen't with this test because it was cheaper than the Heptimax.  My thinking was that after a year of SVR with the Heptimax I could go with a less sensitive test like the Quantasure because if the virus was indeed back it would be over 43 viral particles. Do you agree?

And, if you are tested in the future (although I can't see that it should be often or routine) you could go with one that is much less sensitive if it's cheaper.  There should be one available to 600 iu/ml.  But, the best advice is to get hcv out of your head for a while and turn into someone who 'had' hcv.

At this point you really only have to do a qualatitive instead of a quantatitive. it is a less expensive test and simply says Neg or Pos. That is basically all you need to know at this point.
