Neupogen

by curiouscat, Nov 24, 2002 12:00AM
Hello.  Anyone here on Neupogen for low Neutriphils (rather than 'just' low White Blood Count (WBC))?

Almost since the beginning of tx for HepC Type 1a - start date was 9/10/02 @ 120 mikes of PegIntron and 1000mg of Rebetol - my N count has ranged b/t 1.0 and 0.7 and my WBS around 2.5.  My ALT camedown to normal and my AST has stayed at 62 the past 5 weeks.
My MD dropped the dose to 80 mikes PegIntron and 800 Rebetol to deal with the low Neutriphil/WBC.  After 3 doses at this level, the WBC and neutiphil count is still as low as before.  He has proposed tx w/ Neupogen.....but....he hasn't had much to say about what the tx protocol would be (Ex. 1 shot of Neupogen every week?  For how long? Etc.?).

All experiences w/ Neupogen for any reason would be helpful.

In advance, thanks.
