New FDA rules on Promacta and NPlate

http://www.fda.gov/NewsEvents/Newsroom/PressAnnouncements/ucm282502.htm

Even though they are relaxing the rules, make sure you find out ALL about either of these before going on them as they can be hepatoxic!

I am on Promacta and it is working well (platelets from 42 to 64 at last tests) and my liver function tests are stable

Thanks for the link! This is great news. Maybe that's why they're finally shipping mine today. Can I ask if you had a headache, body aches, n dizzy w low platelets? I've had a severe headache for a month n can't take much w/ cirrhosis. Also I hurt in joints n muscles. Hgb is 10.4 w procrit so that shouldnt be causing dizziness.
You may have posted about ur experience w Promacta. I'm on Christmas break and haven't read forum much when I'm working cause I save my reading for grading papers. I'll admit, I'm a lil nervous about taking it.  But I have to if I'm gonna finish the 48 weeks.
Thanks so verymuch,
Karen :)
