Nice look! This is one of the simplest and easiest forum to navigate, that is why I like coming here.  I kind of missed not knowing the date of the last post in the thread, but I see that feature is now available.
Is going to take some getting used to, but so far it looks good.
thanks!

I don't like it.  I like seeing who checked in w/o opening every post to see what's really going on.

I have to open every damn thread to see what's really being discussed and by whom.  Seldom does a thread stay on track.

I think this new way is junk and very annoying.

I want to know the whole conversation before I click on.

Its too much work now.

I don't have the time or inclination to check evry thread every day.

So, I'll proably just quit checking in.

Most q's are the same old boring stuff of 'I'm scared. I'm full of misinformation.  Lets prey.'

The real meat is when the oldtimers check in w/the collective wisdom.  Unfortunately, very few of us would dream of starting a thread--we leave that for the new comers.

So now when I look @ it, all it is is strange new names w/the same old q's and fears.

I don't like it either. I also enjoyed being able to see who posted and when before I open a thead. In the comment to box we could type in when we were changing a subect for whatever reason. Instead of wasting a thread we could just start a new one on an existing question. We won't be able to do that now without opening each one.   Two thumbs down,

copy of my letter to Phil & Cindy

Phil & Cindy,

Regarding the new look on the hepatitis forum. I hate it.I like being able to see who posted on the thread before I open it. Also we were able to type in *new thread or *new subject in the "Comment to" box, instead of wasting a thread. We won't be able to do that anymore, and if you look back at most of our threads here they only get opened and posted on for about a week or so, so there is no real need for us to be able to go back that far. If for some reason one of us needs to find an old thread isn't that what the archives are for? Just my opinion but I think I will probably not come here to often anymore which is sad because many of these people have become "family" to me, and have gotten me through one of the hardest years of my life.

I like to see who posted and the dates of the posts.

However, I do want to thank you again for this forum, no matter what context it is in.  Thanks for asking our opinions.

I agree 120% with the two posts above, I do not like the new layout at all.. It is awful, and too condensed..
I read threads, because of the people who respond. And the way it is layed out now without being to see who responded, will just drive MANY of us nuts.. We are already suffering from medication induced confusion, and this does not help...
When I logged in, I wondered if I was even in the right place.
The threads usually get broken into, and start a new subject.. To have to open and read ever response, is ridiculous..

Uggghhhh,,,,I love this forum,,,,Saved my sanity at times but honestly with my work and all,,,I just don't have the time either to open each thread.  I loved seeing who all responded to threads and that way if I only have a few mins,,,I can read and respond when I need to.  I also loved the way before,,,like Dollface said,,we could tag on to threads with new questions. Pleeassseeee Phil,,,Reconsider the new format.  No matter what,,,You and Cindy have always been great in helping us out! Thank you!

I'm not a fan of the new layout either.  It requires a lot more time and work to figure out whether there's something of particular interest in a particular thread.  It pretty much forces you to click on each thread -- which I don't have the time or inclination to do.

I thought the original format was perfect.  If it ain't broke, do we really need to fix it?

That's weird!  I hit the "post" button to send my message above and poof...the format changed to a much better layout!

Yep,,just something new and a matter of getting use to.  People new coming in won't know difference.  The only thing I noticed on last format is,,,when I checked in for new posts...what was new was highlighted for me so I knew exactly what to click on,,,all the way down the page. And noticed on this,,It doesn't highlight when you leave and someone comes into post.  Did you all go by the same system of checking in,,by thread being highlighted?

as I see it on my pc the "comment to"  thing is still there. I typed "test" in it, now I am curious to see if that's going to appear. in fact, the "comment to" is a very useful feature and many of us use it all the time.
besides that: I CAN read who posted a comment, without opening each single thread. how does it work, that we see differently?
the general look is neat and pleasant.BUT it was way quicker and clearer before, if one just wanted to open and scroll a thread, reading on the left WHO wrote and TO WHOM the comment was meant.

Thank you for the time, effort and hard work you diligently put into MedHelp and this forum.

The new layout is looking and working good. One thing missing from the previous layout that I found helpful is (as others above had mentioned) to be able to see on the main Hepatitis Forum page what someone has placed in the "Comment to: (optional)" box when they make a post to an existing thread. This feature is very helpful in directing individual discussion/comment, allowing new discussion within an existing thread and acts as a time-saver in looking for particular discussions and responses. If at all possible, I hope you would consider reinstating it.

Thank you again.

well, I kind of liked the new look, because it looked less cluttered.
I remember when I first came to MH, I was overwhelmed by so many "links" and names, it was too cluttered, but this is one opinion of many.
I still think it is too busy to have all the names listed, maybe they can be cut back to showing just a few instead of what seems like 10 names or so under a question?

I noticed that too...if someone new comes to post it doesn't seem to highlight, maybe is one of the bugs Phil mentioned?

I personally like the new layout... it comes with pro's & cons but I find that "in the long run" it actually simplify's matters!

wasted year? in terms of svr, perhaps; but you learned that you will respond and you learned that you can manage the meds and what to expect, call it a trial run.
like all of us, you wanted off these toxins as soon as you could, I did too. I know I kept hinting and telling you MY reasons for pushing to extend, sort of hoping you could push also, but it did not happen. So be it. This is the run that counts, make IT count.
This is exactly why, even though I wanted off this **** badly, the thought of having to do it again kept me dragging.  My GI said to the NP that he will not extend again for anyone.
You are caught in a lot of BS in the medical community because nobody seem to know what to do sometimes.
I will be there when you start again, if that is what you choose to do.

I'm always the odd ball... LoL... I see what everybody is talking about with the new layout now!

I'm doing real good Ivette, but I haven't quite started again yet, however it's right around the corner... any day now...

Went to the new Dr yesterday... I am thoroughly convinced that my old Doc was clueless about everything!

The new Doc even said the old doc wasn't up to date & that the only reason I relapsed was because 800 riba was totally unacceptable for my genotype.

I only got referred to the new guy because the old doc didn't know anything about infergon which he insisted was my only hope.

Humph... the old doc obviously doesn't know anything about Peg & Cop either.... he even had the audacity to insinuate that I must have some Afro American in my blood-line... how screwed up was that comment... shish & this is the guy I entrusted with my life??????  I should sue the pants off this guy, too bad I can't afford too... LoL ...freaking year of my life just wasted!

The new doc said that I am definitely a responder (which he found pretty amazing considering my dosage) & said that since I didn't completely clear at 12 weeks on the previous attempt that I should have automatically have done 18 months TX (so I was cut short on time too) I was still undetectable 2 weeks after the previous TX stopped, & at 166 thousand at the 3 month mile marker... & the alt & ast had sky rocketed higher than ever before  (& this was on a liver friendly diet) Ha!

Anyways, the new guy said that I have a 90% chance at licking this thing under his recommendations (I am leery about that percentage) however it gives me hope....he doesn't want me to do the inferen... he said that daily dosage for a year would make me go ballistic, (He was referring to the amount of injections not the sides) & since the old doc didn't actually grade my liver from the biopsy (I was told only slight inflammation on a scale of mild to moderate) so the new doc wants to see my actual slides so that he can see them for himself.

So the plan is:
as soon as the PCR I had done yesterday comes back in, & he views the slides, I am to start an 18 month regime of TX on the same stuff as before with the exception of the proper dosage this time...

I feel like I just went in a great big circle... had things of been done properly initially I would be completing in June & been done with this ****... all the old doc did was **** the dragon off, & waste my time & his!

Dang It!
So I guess I'll be restarting within the next 2 weeks or so!
:)
