I did 24 weeks, and was very lucky with the sides......Peg-Intron and Rebetol. Except for fatigue and loss of libido, I really didn't disrupt my normal life.

Love Ya!
Steve
DO A LITTLE DANCE OF JOY!!!Wishing you the best.
chev: yeah, bravo, finally, finito...YOU are going to miss it! you sure you don't have some extra vials?
Tony - Sex??? Ha - I'm still laughing at the very thought (or memory) of it!!! When I started this mess, my husband went to the MD with me and most of the sides were explained and hubby said, "OK, fine. I just want you to get healthy." Had he any idea that my idea of a perfect night with him would be for him to scratch my back while I fall asleep, I think he would have thought twice about it. I have only been married for 2 years to my knight in shining armour, so I feel bad for him. I make an effort but he knows my mind/heart aren't really into it. Poor guy. One of the things that keeps me going on this treatment is knowing that as soon as my 48 weeks are up (end of December), my hubby and I are going to take some time off to ourselves and make up for lost time. Bless his heart, I love him and he has put up with a lot for the last six months.
Spouses of heppers on treatment: WARNING, WARNING, WARNING - Sex life may come to a complete standstill while other spouse is on treatment. Deal with it.

SO NEWBIES...THIS CAN HAPPEN....IT IS A GOOD IDEA TO HAVE YOUR DR. TALK TO BOTH YOU AND YOUR SIGNIFICANT OTHER SO THAT THE POSSIBILITY OF "FEELING REJECTED" CAN BE UNDERSTOOD AND WORKED THROUGH. NO HURT FEELINGS CAUSED BY NOT KNOWING WHY.
*****CHEV******** CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!! I knew that you would do your shot before Friday...........I think Cuteous said that YOU would miss doing your shot....(lol)....I think we all kind of do......it becomes such a habit.....and ritual...speaking of ritual...(did you see my other post to you about doing a ritual?) How did your shot go????????? I would like to hear about it......I would have liked to sent some good vibes, good thoughts and good energy your way at the very time of your shot...kinda like I was there...(lol) but it is good enough to know that you have finished tx....I just know you are SVR too!!!!!!!! I really like your posts, so, I am hoping that you stick around too. I know that my time is limited now that I am trying to "get back into Life"......but I try to get on site and at least just read...BUT...you have so many interesting things to say.....I really am fond of your joy for life.......let us know all the details of your last shot....:>)

" The Sex Fairy
This is hilarious! Be sure to read the warning at the bottom.
That's why I didn't want to take any chances with this one!
I'm not messing with the Sex Fairy!
1. Sex is a beauty treatment. Scientific tests find that when women make love they produce amounts of the hormone estrogen, which makes hair shine and skin smooth.
2. Gentle, relaxed lovemaking reduces your chances of suffering dermatitis, skin rashes and blemishes. The sweat produced cleanses the pores and makes your skin glow.
3. Lovemaking can burn up those calories you piled on during that romantic dinner.
4. Sex is one of the safest sports you can take up. It stretches and tones up just about every muscle in the body. It's more enjoyable than swimming 20 laps, and you don't need special sneakers!
5. Sex is an instant cure for mild depression. It releases endorphins into the bloodstream, producing a sense of euphoria and leaving you with a feeling of well being.
6. The more sex you have, the more you will be offered. The sexually active body gives off greater quantities of chemicals called pheromones. These subtle sex perfumes drive the opposite sex crazy!
7. Sex is the safest tranquilizer in the world. IT IS 10 TIMES MORE EFFECTIVE THAN VALIUM.
8. Kissing each day will keep the dentist away. Kissing encourages saliva to wash food from the teeth and lowers the level of the acid that causes decay, preventing plaque build-up.
9. Sex actually relieves headaches A lovemaking session can release the tension that restricts blood vessels in the brain.
10. A lot of lovemaking can unblock a stuffy nose. Sex is a natural antihistamine. It can help combat asthma and hay fever.
This message has been sent to you for good luck in sex. The original is in a room in Palaiseau. It has been sent around the world nine times.
Now sex has been sent to you.
The "Hot Sex Fairy" will visit you within four days of receiving this message, provided you, in turn, send it on. If you don't, then you will never receive good sex again for the rest of your life.
You will eventually become celibate, and your genitals will rot and fall off. "
Well...hopefully not!
By the way...I'm 6mo. post tx and still clear! Yeeeaaa!!!

I'm sooo glad you made it through okay. :)
Chevy......
Oh YEAH BABY! You have a "special" place next to me on the SVR bus. You have had a hard time of late. But it's all over now! Do you know any games we can play while I am driving? Hahahahaha
Who loves ya baby?
TOSSER!...Where the heck have you been here? You have been missed! I'm glad you found your way back here. We do still have FUN. Ain't life GREAT after tx? I told you so! Thanks for all the e-mails.
This tx is no easy ride, picnic or piece of cake - (what with all the knife throwing, group toilet seat action and toothbrush swapping). It's always great to hear when someone has made it all the way through tx - relatively unscathed. It gets even better when they can come back and tell us that SVR has been permanently afixed!
