New treatment HepC?

I did my treatment for hep.C while ago, but virus came back on my last
months of treatment. I've been told to wait untill new treatment is available.
I did interferon (pegilated and infergin) and riboviran.

Is anybody knows if anything eslse comming to market soon and how soon.
May be 2011 or 2012?

i'm not showing any medincine in my system after 4 wks of treatment. it was mentioned to me that there will be new meds coming out soon.   i will ask my liver doc.

I also just saw that article is dated 2008. I'm sure others have newer info in this forum that may answer.

your dates are correct, no one is absolutely sure they will get the fast track but that is the assumption, phase 3 results are coming in or in, so it won't be too much longer hopefully, although originally they were to be here in 09 some extra trials were required, long story.

the riba will not be out of your system for 6 months, it builds up and drops out very gradually.

Various new meds seem to be approaching...  Some later this year, some perhaps next year...  Treatments without Interferon, and perhaps without Ribovirin, may be just around the corner.  Before grabbing at the first new treatment that gets approval; it might make sense to evaluate it against the trial results of whatever might be just a few months away.  Science is our friend, etc.

I do have faith in science and one day they will work out this complicated virus. I am part of an Australian trial for a new drug so excited to see how that goes. I think the medical community is working hard on a bcc treatment. I like to think they are anyway cheers
