Night Sweats???

I don't know about anyone else but I sweatout at night almost everynight...Is this Normal?

Very  very VERY normal.  In fact during the 72 weeks I treated I sometimes would wake up and because I was wearing fleece (which wouldn't absorb the sweat) I would wake up and stand up and literally it would POUR down my body.

It's so absolutely GROSS but unfortunately very common.

Since stopping treatment it's been very rare for me to have this happen but as the drugs were working there way out it still did.

   72 weeks ...wow....Man I hope I'm done with this at 48.....I can't imagine 72......The one thing I am grateful for is that I've evened out or gotten used to it..

Yep,,did same during my tx and also my husband use to get night sweats before he even started tx and now that we are both SVR,,,no more problems so could be a hep problem also if you weren't on tx.  Good Luck with your TX and may it bring you SVR!!!

the sweats are from your body fighting the HCV infection and happen even without tx. you also get the night sweats when first infected. if you can remember a time in the past when you first woke up at night sweating then that is most likely when you got infected with HCV.

My nightsweats started about a year before I was diagnosed,they were really bad then...Of course my VL was 12.5 ml,then too.....But I'm down to <50 as of Feb....Waiting for my results from 2 weeks ago....I had to get off Riba for about a 5-6 weeks because of Hemo drop...
  But I'm back on it and so are the sweats....UGH!
I'm ready for SVR..........

Hi, I too have the dreaded sweats. During the day I am always cold - my space heater runs all day  -  then at night sometimes its so bad I have to change pj"s twice. Can't wait for the morning shower.

I'm glad to hear it goes away post tx. I've had night sweats for the last 20 years. My Ob would just say "hormones". Wonder if Hep c contributed or was mostly to blame.
Brad: I sweat at night and often get overheated and sweaty and sick feeling during the day. I'm so lucky, theres a heater/air conditioner in the room I work in. I always have it cranking out a/c.

Hmmmmm...Well this is probably something I'll never know.....Being I began Nightsweats about a year before I was diagnosed...But here's the catch,I have tattoo's, I was for a very brief time IDU,and I've slept with someone who was Hep C,I found that out POST FACTO,.......So pick my poison.

  Mute point now.......Its pesticide for 48 weeks.........I'm 2/3rd's there....
