Optum-Rx ,anyone have trouble getting Harvoni on this pharm?
I may be finally trying to do Harvoni. Next hurdle will be getting insurance to agree. I have no late stage of disease, non-cirrhotic. However, with the about 12 treatments I've done since 1997..., definitely an experienced treatment failure patient. My GI doctor's office said they'd fight for it for me. I am wondering though, if any of you have had success or trouble, getting Harvoni from Optum-Rx?
I got approved finally but I was going to try soul of healing. Harvoni cost like $1500 thru them. I waited six months for approval. Copay $5 a monrh
Not a lot of prior treaters around here anymore but I am sure some were able to obtain treatment.
If you are denied you can appeal to your state insurance commissioner there are others obtaining meds from overseas at greatly reduced costs as well so there are other ways to get treated by first option to me would be to get your insurer to do their job.
Just to add Giliead pharma has be providing copay assistance so your copay would be just 5 dollars if you have applied for this with Giliead they have other support also you may want to visit their site.
