Quest Diagnostics will provide discounted or free laboratory tests based on your income.  Just fill out an appllication.

Hi Rowdieg,

There's lots of help, so hang tight.

Why won't your insurance cover you? Were you diagnosed via an HCV RNA PCR test or an antibody test and did you pay for one or both of those out of pocket?

Some people here know a lot about options for financing the treatment and hopefully they'll stop in soon.

TTYL,
Susan

If you need tests, it implies that you have not had tests.  If that is the situation, how were you diagnosed?

Not sure what kind of insurance you have.  Surprised insurance will not cover unless you have only major medical insurance for hospitalizations.  If that is the case you should look into medicaid.  If you don't qualify for that, you might need to private pay for the tests.

If you insurance is not greatly limited as noted above, f/u with member services you may need the doc to provide additional documentation for coverage.

Welcome to the forum, that's lots of great information here to help guide you.
