What geno were you again?
Here is an interesting discussion about the accuracy of biopsies.

Hi there --
Your biopsy report reads just like mine did from June 05:
"Mild lymphocytic portal inflammation with lymphoid aggregates, ceroid macrophages and mild interface hepatitis. The lobules show mild necroinflammatory activity and mild, scattered, macrovesicular
steatosis. There is portal fibrosis with fibrous septa, focally bridging (Trichrome stain).
The findings are consistent with chronic hepatitis C with mild activity, grade 2 of 4, stage 2-3 of 4."
Based on this, which over 3 years had progressed from a grade 1, my doc recommended re-treatment for my genotype 1 hepc.
They say that treatment, with or without SVR, rolls back some of the liver changes.
What were your questions on your biopsy report?
Hope your 6 week report is good.

Q's were about Grade 2 / Stage 3
What does this mean and on a scale what to what?
hi milo,
i'm a 1a myself. i'm in the 7th week of tx. i started with a VL of 3 mil and just got the news today my VL is down to 21,600. so this stuff works. and to be honest i don't feel too bad. a little tired and winded easily, but that could also be 51 y.o. and out of shape!
as far as you staging goes, i think you would be considered moderate damage with mild inf. good news it's not cirhossis! so if you treat relatively soon, you will be fine. good luck to you.
Hi,
Sorry for the double post. Just wanted to reply to your questions.
Thanks again so much for your experience! It's a big help!
