Peg Intron

I was wondering if someone could answer a question for me.  I just took my first shot of Peg Intron Friday night, and I got pretty sick, but thank God after I stayed in bed the next day I felt better.  Do these reactions happen every time you inject it or does your body eventually get use to it.  Also my viral load is only 300 and I have genotype 1.  Can anyone give me more information about my Hep C being cured after this treatment or does it ever get cured?

I did Peg Intron for 5.5 months and felt lousy for 2-3 days after every shot. Sometimes more so, sometimes less. Everybody responds differently, so it's possible you might get used to it.
Basic odds for geno 1 are about 50/50, but low starting viral load and being female ups the odds a little bit in your favor.
If you're still undetected 6 months after finishing treatment, you can consider yourself cured, though you'll always carry the antibodies and aprox. 85-90% of the sustained response people will always carry recognizeable RNA frags here and there in their bodies.
Good luck with it.

I'm in week 40 with pegintron.  The 1st 6 weeks I had no sides.  They have been present ever since.  Some weeks are better than others but it's never great.  I can't wait to finish, it takes too long.
