Pegetron, Ribavin and Menapouse, Combination.

How do you clarify your symptoms when you are in treatment for Hep C but you also have started menapouse early?


I have extreme painful thumb joint pain only in the right hand.  My hip hurts for no reason.  I have been in and out of the hospital due to dehydration and rapid heart beats. While on pegatron I have experience canker sores close to 25 of them in and under my tongue, chronic fatique, painful liver organ, and rapid loss of weight.  I also experience menstrating over six weeks.  I went to have a check up and found lots of tumors on my uterus so they are investigating that as well.  I am a single mom with two children and I am exhausted.  How do I know which symptoms to worry about and which not to?   If anyone can help me also about the class action suit I would appreciate it.  I received a blood transfusion approximately 1980-81 and they keep sending the forms back to me saying there is no record.  I have limited funds and I have had the specialists fill out the forms over and over again.  If there is anyone out there to help me I would appreciate it.  Thanks!

make sure your hgb reading stays above 11 for best QOL, anemia can bring cardiac conditions in predisposed individuals. it can also cause menstrual changes.
I have had basal joint pain(thumb)plus carpal tunnel syndrome for years, prior to dx. I believe it is causd by inflammation from the hep c, in my case I also had the hip pain, which is caused by a couple of herniated discs. You have to rule out other reasons, before you can blame your symptoms on the meds.
as for class action lawsuits, it seems the lawyers get the  largest cut in them, so you will probably not strike it rich with that.

Also to add to what Cuteous said, if you are having problems w/ dehydration, you are not drinking enough water. Drink at least 1/2 ounce of water per pound that you weigh.   Joni

LOL....I SOO can identify with that attitude....if I perceived a threat to my  everyday groove,  well, the meds, the latin blood, permenopause, contraceptive hormones...I pity the fool....
good thing I have legal benefits at work...how much will 1,000 get me in legal consult?

hey there....well i too am and did go through menopuase during tx....and the bleeding is a pain and also weakens you even more...mention it to your doc...i was put on
CYKLOKAPRON 500mg....the second i started to bleed i would take asap 2 or 3 of them and then 2 every 6 to 8 hours while on tx as the bleeding was severe and heavy also lots of clots etc...so this drug really did the trick in slowing all that done and helping me to feel alittle stronger.

on another point dear....it was always my firm belief that while on tx....being on these heavy meds that state they can cause in some cases homicidal feelings...well, coupled with my menopause, i always thought in the back of my mind that if i were to seriously injure someone who butted in line at the grocery store, or even LOOKED like the were THINKING about butting in... or someone who took too long at the darn ATM., or someone i THOUGHT might try and pass me on the highway, oh the list goes on...well anyway...a really good lawyer could always get me off cause after all....the meds AND menopause....just HOW MUCH DOES A GIRL HAVE TO TAKE!!!!!  so take heart, theres a bright side to this.  hang in and rememebr to vent when you need to here and laugh when you can...
