Damn good man. Yes, we argue, and probably always will, but this is not the place. I extend my hand, and embrace you as a friend, and as a fellow brother battling the same demon that is effecting me right now.I try to stay positive, express my feelings in a positive way, but just get sucked in. I am young, just begining to understand politics, and society, and am very passionate about my views. My comments are not too insult or belittle anyone, I just haven't perfected the art of restraint yet. It is so hard to say anything now adays, without being politically incorrect, or offending someone. I still have much to learn, and look forward to the opportunities that await.I do feel bad that I have caused turmoil between people, as I am just trying to fight for what I believe in.Seems like the positive things I try to do to better my own outlook, and feel like I'm being proactive, back fire in my face.Again, thank you, and I do respect your comments, and try to learn from them, even if my posts have not shown that...Thanks

Happy Birthday man. Though you and I fight, I wish you joy and SVR and a better rest of your life than you've had so far. I, too, feel like I've gone too far on the political arguments--this place is too valuable to burn up in a political battle.

Anyway, I'm holding our my hand in friendship. You and I may never change our political views, and we may not be able to stop arguing completely, but in this place, we are equals. So Happy Birthday. If it is any help, I feel that in my own life, I started to become a real adult around 26, 27 and the rest of my life has continued to improve. Not perfect, but better. I wish the same for you.

Can't stop laughing, I'll try to leave their mode of transportation out from now on, just for you.. LOL!!! Still laughing, and all that inspiration and wisdom, came while eating tortilla chips?? Damn!!
I know, I stirred it up alittle too much, got the whole nest going, then tried to stand ground and swat em all down. I kept trying to stear them back to the message, but actually just kept fueling the fire.. Glad the bridge is still there, and I will try to stay in line, except in Rev's case of course. We got a love hate thing going, he must have seen me at the urinal, and has a grudge against me!! Kidding, thank you both, and I will try to focus on motivating and inspiring, not fueling..Snook

I am chewing on a tortilla chip and it is getting stuck on the lump in my throat...your last exchange shows what this forum tries to be, a caring, supportive haven for all, in spite of the many differences that distinguish us from one another.
Sometimes one word or phrase can obstruct the conveyance of the point we are trying to make , and motivate most people to focus on the former instead of the latter... just a point to ponder about.
You might make a passionate, effective editor in some political publication, you can start your own online political sound off...

Every post kept getting maxed so I did not get to wish you a Great Bday. My firstborn just turned 30 on Bastille Day, she is a moon child (astrology).

As you gain more age and wisdom, you realize that you do not have to hate one team while rooting for the other. That is called maturing, sadly, many people do age without ever realizing that hate does not need to be part of their lives.

snook; just call them extremists or misguided and leave  their mode of travel out....;-}

Damn, that was the first spanking I've ever got, and didn't see it coming. I know that life is rough, and I have been dealt a bad hand. But what I also know, is that my problem IS no better, or worse than anyone elses here..I know that I am pissed off, and it shows in my attitude, but I have explained my reasons so not to justify my actions, but to give everyone an understanding of my logic. I would never turn a back to someone, or a deaf ear to anyone trying to help me, or lend advice. You and Cuteus got my through a rough time I had  and I owe you both greatly. I feel I might have burned that bridge by my political views, but that was never my intention. I can not go back to correct my mistakes, only learn from them. Everyday is a learning process for me, and I embrace it. I thought I had nowhere to turn, and YOU both should me I did.I am sorry if I have been out of line, but I am a fighter and always have been.I know you are done with tx, and I wish you could hear my scream of congrats, but you know that everyone is happy to see another move on. It gives us all hope, and alot of us need it.Stay strong, and KNOW that I take all comments to heart, and try to learn from them...Best wishes, Snook..

Thanks again, to the Other women in my life, ha ha ha!!
Yeah, maybe I just got in the wrong line for lunch too, huh?? No, my dad is a good guy, and I owe him alot. He is just very cold, and unemotional. Not mad, I'm pretty use to it. Been happening 27 years now. I did take the opportunity to spend the day with wife, who took off work to spend with me. Chevy, I know exactly what you are saying. Can't depend on others for happiness, you must find that yourself!! Did I get it?? By the way, my dad calls me at like 6:30 pm, says, so should I take you to dinner or what?? I was like damn, not if you ask like that?? So he stopped by my house, which is next door, and gave me a card with $50. A hug and alittle actual caring or concern would have covered it better. Maybe he should be a politician, hes got the act down?? LOL!!

I am currently on the pegasys regime and have had little or no side effects and never missed a day of work.  After 12 weeks, my RNA Quantitive showed undetectable, which means the virus is gone.  Pegasys has a wonderful web page and a 24 hour nurse hotline if you wish to find out more

Thanks, for the B-Day wishes. I have more battles everyday, it looks like. I had plans with my father to go to lunch today, and after confirming in the morning, I call him at lunch time, and he is eating. Says he'll take me another day. Boy, isn't great when you can always count on your family!!! Thank you, I needed a bit of encouragement..

Oh, Snook, I am so sorry for your birthday disappointment.., I am so sorry your dad didn't realise the importance of your lunch date  -  it would have been my pleasure to take you out for lunch on your birthday...
Remember Snook, he ruined your lunch but not the rest of your day, that's yours to celebrate with whomever you wish (your wife?:)  Have a lovely evening:)

You must have stood in the wrong line when they were handing out parents.  I'm really sorry about that because you deserve much, much better treatment than you've gotten.  Remember, we get two opportunities in life to be part of a parent/child relationship.  First as a child, and then as a parent.  I have no doubt that you'll take full advantage of the second opportunity and it will be wonderful.

In plain english, there are two main treatments for hep c:
Peg-interferon 2b, and Peg-interferon 2a(pegysus). Both have about the same effectiveness, with a slight advantage going towards the pegysus. Both are given in conjunction with Ribivirin, or copegysus. Most of the people here, are on these meds, and by alot of the posts you find, it effects logical thinking. Naw, it is what is available, and depending on your geno, percentages are fairly good. Geno 1's being somewhere between 50-60%, and geno 2 and 3 being about 80%. Other factors come to play, to increase or decrease the odds. Sorry, noone has responded to you, but others are to busy fighting a political war in another thread.. Lots of good people here, so don't be afraid to speak up.. Best of luck to you!!

Pegylated alpha-interferon and beta-interferon both in conjunction with Ribavirin are in mainstream use and are about equal in their effectiveness. Gamma-interferon is sometimes employed with one of the others or a consensus interferon, such as Infergen is used, but usually only as a retreatment option.

God bless!  -Michael
