If what he/she meant when they said a Hepatitis  Panel...yes thses are what was tested for. There is also what is called a full liver panel that tests many markers...however thses may or may not include the markers for the Hep"s.

The tests should not take long for results.. let us know when you get them and if possible actually ask for a copy of them as we can then interpret exactly what they mean ..if you need a hand.

What is HCV and HBV?

As I mentioned ..elevated liver enzymes can be caused by many things and meds can be one of those...however if  they have been elevated for a long time... a good doc would run HCV and HBV as normal protocol. Doesn"t mean you have either of these...however should certainly be at least ruled out..

Elevated enzymes are merely markers to tell them to  run further tests  and often when only midly elevated the further tests show nothing

Good luck..

Hi there...actually your  serum enzymes are only mildly elevated

Normal ALT(<36 ) and AST(<31)0 and some labs use even somewhat higher normal values
Thses can be elevated for many  reasons and prescription medications can certainly be the cause on occasion.

If they continue to be elevated  it usually tells a doc to do further testing and  Hep A and B are tests that should be looked into .Why did he/she order an ultrasound?.

Good luck
