Please help! Soooo confused

OK, here goes.  Our Gastro is on vacation so I have some questions I can't get answered.  My husband, age 30 has been diagnosed with fatty/enlarged liver & enlarged prostate.  He also has Familial Polyposis Syndrome.  He has lost a little weight. (He also has indigestion problems...burps more than anyone I know and sweats like a pig when he's sleeping)  Everything I can find on fatty liver points to alcoholism or obesity.  He is neither.  He is very tall and lanky and does not drink alcohol.  He has sharp pains in upper right quadrant that radiates to the back.  If you press where the pain is, he will scream with pain.  (They also found an ampullary mass in April and are planning on removing this next year via the whipple)  <p>My questions are this:  <p>Which one of these is causing the pain?  <p>What causes fatty/enlarge liver BESIDES alcohol and obesity?  (I will admit he is a marijuana smoker and cigarette smoker)  <p>How will he be treated for this?  <p>The Nurse said fatty liver is common, but not with people his age.  We are scared to death here with all his problems.  Any suggestions at all?
