Please join me for the sake of this young girl (religious sorry)

Given all the rukus over religion lately, I was a bit hessitant to make this post.  But I feel strongly led to do so, and let me express my appologizes in advance to those who may take offense!  

I received the following request from a co-worker whose daughter is a Youth Director at the church of this young 4th grader who suffers from Alpha-1 Antitrypsin Deficiency.  I would ask those interested in joining my it praying for this poor girl who has her entire life ahead of and before her at this time:

"Greetings friends!

I have a young friend, a student at my church, in need of prayer!  Her name is Laura Rauchwarter.  She is a fourth grader this year although she hasn't been able to go to school yet.  She received a liver transplant on August 30th after 4+ years being on the donor list.  Everything went well but she is in surgery this morning for a blockage in her new liver.  Please pray for her, her family and the doctors.  You can visit her website:  http://www.caringbridge.org/mn/laurasliver/ to learn more about her and get updates on her condition.  Thank you my friends!

Thanks to all you have lifted this young spirit up in prayer. I know that there is no greater power we have than prayer and none more effectual than one which is lifted intercessory for another.

If I may post a verse from James 5:15 to which I've been led: "And the prayer [that is] of faith will save him who is sick, and the Lord will restore him; and if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven."

I also just received this update and thought I would share with all concerned here:

"Thank you to all of you, my friends, for your continued prayers for Laura as the wait for a liver continues.

Laura was in stable condition through the night and doing as well as we can hope.  No cadaver liver has become available as of this time.

Right now they are testing a number of people to check for matches.  If they are to do a live donor surgery it would not be today...it could possibly be tomorrow.

Thank you so much to all of you who have called or emailed and put yourself on the list!  I cannot express to you in words how your generosity has touched my heart and life!  I love you all so much and thank God for you!

Lord, I ask in Your name, restore this childs body to perfect health - many more than two are gathered here pleading the Blood of Christ to cover this innocent child of yours.  I ask that you build a hedge of protection around her.  Thank You, Lord that Your will is being done in her life.  Amen.

As of late last night, it appears first two live donors did not provide a match and a third possibility was being tested.

There was a request to see if other type O donor volunteers where available for this little girl along with information on who to contact.  I could provide that here if anyone knows of someone who might be willing to help this child have a shot at living more of a life, with hopefully a better quality than she has had during her first 10 years.

Since my youngest son is this girl's age and with my HCV struggles, this youg girls plight has touched my heart deeply.  I think I may have also seen her in the reception area when I was waiting for one of my follow-up visits as my doc is head of the Transplant Center and I've seen many folks there going through this tramatic experience.

While all are sad, I found that when I see the young children there that it seems to hurt the most.  I guess perhaps that comes from being a father and realizing how deeply it must hurt the parents to see their child suffer knowing there is little they can do but perhaps are willing to lay down their own life for that of their child.

At any rate, I'll try to keep all interested posted and please continue to join me in prayer for Laura that our Father will also answer our requests for one of His beloved little ones.
