Possible Riba Rash Prevention Answer???

by Kathy73, Sep 21, 2009 03:41PM
I found information on this forum 9+ months ago that a filter for clorine elimination/reduction on your showerhead may help prevent the skin dryness that in turn may cause or irritate riba rash. I have used this filter on my shower and never got the rash. I have extremely sensitive skin and used Lubriderm twice a day and the clorine filter and went the entire winter/spring/summer treating for Hep C.

Hope this information helps someone.

Thats sounds very interesting Kathy, you may have something there which will help others
with the nast rash that some may get from Tx..

I also use a shower filter. Unfortunately I did have a few riba rash patches. They only subsided around 2 - 3 months after treatment

But in contrary to many others, having a hot shower was very soothing for my skin.

I agree, the hot water didn't seem to bother me either. And I do love a hot shower!
