Post TX Sx's and are they real

I have found that 11 months after completing TX my most dibilitating sx's have returned. Not just those but more that are documented on Shering-Ploughs wesite such as cardiac issues. My blood pressure is suddenly gone sky high afte years of constant monitoring. Back and reumtoid issues, extreme anxiety and depression and excessive weight gain (60 lbs. in 11 months). I have been eating healthy and really don't understand that one. Has anyone else had this happen? I found this website calling out Shering-Plough's response to these "unknown" long lasting sx's at
http://www.hepcsolutions.com/interactive/2004/may15alert.htm.
Any help would be appreciated.

the extra wt will definetely affect the joints and back and aggravate any arthritis. Time for an endocrinologist consult to rule out thyroid issues. let us know how it went

Hi Nolee,,,,Sorry to hear about the problems you are having now post tx.  Great to clear the virus but on the otherhand,,,,you don't want alot lifetime problems either.  I'm 6 months post and still have some bluriness of eyes and about every 4 to 6 weeks,,,One eye still is turning red like pink eye for a few days and then goes away.  Very weird!  Weight gain,,,has just been actually about 7lbs since stopping the meds and that is probably definitely my fault by eating lots of sweets that I was use to getting away with on the meds and not gaining.  I do know if problem with thyroid,,,,excessive weight gain for no reason can happen.  Get it checked out and hope you get to feeling better soon!

I have to agree with the rest. Thyroid, I lost mine due to TX and have been on meds ever since. It's not a very big pill and it really helped me out. It's just an easy blood test. check for T3 and T4 levels. Just checking for TSH doesn't always give the complete picture.

Could be other issues but have you had your thyroid checked lately? It really sounds like you need to get checked by a doctor. I think both weight gain and depression could be symptoms of thyroid issues.Blood sugar could be another thing to get checked. Best to you nolee, frank
