Post treatment hep c

Happy New Year for everybody, I'm new here and would appreciate any advise.  I'm 4 weeks post treatment so far slowly I'm recovering my energy.  My concern is I feel this heat sitting in my back part of neck and shoulders.  I'm still drinking plenty water and I'm on Paxil.  I have called my nurse Be In Charge and she says probably is the medication still in my body.  Has anybody experienced this before?  This will be very helpful to know if this can be part of side effects meds or the possibility of relapsing?  Thanks and God bless!!!

Happy New year to you too. Welcome to the forum. Usually our newbies to the forum are waiting to start tx or recently started. I'm glad to hear that you are finished with tx.

As far as the "heat sitting in your back and shoulders," I haven't heard that before, but thats not to say someone hasn't experienced this. I agree with the Be in Charge Nurse and it may just be the meds still in your body.

Wishing you a SVR!  Keep us posted.

I am currently in tx (week 36 of 48) and have been experiencing exactly the same thing, off and on.  I have never had upper back or neck pain before.  It is exactly as you describe - a soreness or ache in the back of the neck and shoulders that feels like burning.  It usually occurs when I am working at the computer or driving.  It goes away when I lay down.  I just put it down to one of the many strange sx that are annoying but tolerable.  Fortunately for me it is not constant, only now and then.  Sorry to hear you are experiencing this AFTER treatment has stopped - that's discouraging.  I hope you feel better soon and get that SVR.

It comes and goes away, but I feel it more if I've been sitting too long in the computer and driving exactly as you mentioned before.  When I lay down it fades somewhat.  I'll keep everybody posted onces I get my results which will be at the end of this month.  Thanks!
