I am reopening the prayer request post. I belive that God can make a big differance in our recovery and contenment in dealing with hepatitis and TX!!

My Prayer for today,

Father Almighty,
sing me a song
That will ease my pain,
Mend broken bones,
Bring wholeness again.
Catch my babies
When they are born,
Sing my death song,
Teach me how to mourn.

Show me the Medicine
Of the healing herbs,
The value of spirit,
The way I can serve.

God, heal my heart
So that I can see
The gifts of yours
That can live through me.

You are right about religion in the proven studies. The studies were done with a person beliving in a higher power, but more so on prayer, prayer from themself's, prayer from family and friends and Church or it's equivalent in the faith of that person.
Since I belive in only one GOD! I did'nt look closly if they were refering to Christianity. I rechecked yesterday and found a couple studies that did refer to a faith based on Christianity, these we smaller studys.

Yes....I agree with you.  I have had soooooooooo many experiences in my life that I could never doubt or deny that.  I feel very blessed......we should talk sometime.....
....You have been blessed in your experience as well.....I really try to embrace my moments...every moment, good or bad. My friends laugh at me because I always say that I even embrace my despair with great glee........lol. They are all lessons learned.

USA  Florida  to be more specific, why do you ask?  Don`t mean to knock anyone for getting HPC via drug use, it is very possible to use responsibly. I`m quite certain how I contracted , {shared works} Do I blame them? of course not

Feeling a little better {emotionally} after meeting with a herbalist - He actually said "God has brought you here so I can help you", don`t know if he really meant it or playing on my fear. Well, long story short put 275 on visa. Can`t afford ins. but I got plastic LOL. Have smoked for awhile but am going to cut back drastically & plan on quitting.  He also said come back in a month with a new lab & if it is not "greatly improved" he would give me back the dough,provided I took the herbs & followed diet:no red meat,dairy,caffine, all the good stuff. Yes, love my boy to pieces, sweet as he can be. My Faith & He are what keeps me going,sane,smiling, without him I would surely be a basket case. We are going fishing tomorrow to make a new memory & enjoy the day, time is so precious as is life. Peace  to  all

I  believe in the power of prayer. I don`t believe that God "let" us contract HC. Everything happens for a reason, in my case I think I have become of of the unlucky ones to bring me closer to God. I got "it" from really bad choices when I was young and dumb. Thought the "train" was the greatest feeling, and yes NOW I know how utterly dumb I was. I pray daily for wisdom - strength - and God`s healing power and of course for his will. Please don`t knock religion, if you don`t believe that is your choice. It is my biggest hope for a future, as I am the only living parent for my son, {lost Soulmate-Husband-Father to our son} Dec. 1 1994 due to hemolytic anemia of unknown cause. Thought long & hard about suicide but it is NOT a solution and solves nothing. I`ll stand in my faith till the end. God Bless all who are willing to receive Him into their hearts & souls.

That is a mystifying event, your mom must have had some energy field!
Iwas at the foot of the bed and my mom at the head feeling for a pulse. she looked at me and shook her head to tell she was gone. My grandma had suffered a long , agonizing illness. I felt sadness and the need to cry over the loss, when a "wave" of peace and tranquility enveloped me and would not let me feel my sadness and grief. It lasted a few seconds or so.  I believe the energy within us survives at a level we are not aware of.

Yes, and even scientific studies reflect the positive aspects of releasing trust and hope to a Higher Power.  
****Cutieus****  wow...I know what you experienced.  I was with my Mom (my Best Friend) when she crossed over.  I was kissing her cheek (after a very heart felt communication) and felt her soul, her spirit "puff" away......I felt her spirit leave, I looked up, and then her overhead fire detector alarm went off (it was directly over her bed)...........

It has been scientificly proven that beliving and living a life with Christ, also using prayer, help people have a better recovery from the illnesses overall, and can tollerate the treatments better.
But the <B>faith</B> has to come from the heart.

I want to thank you both for your posts, a prayer has been said for you two and for all who come here weather they post or not.

you are correct, it has been proven in several studies that prayer has a positive influence in ill patients. whether it was Christian prayer, I don't know if that was specified in the studies. Prayer is positive energy aimed at a specific purpose, it has to have a positive impact. I believe in the soul. i felt my grandma's as death entered her body and her spirit left. I do not believe in organized religion as much as I used to, though.

If this forum is filling a need in your present life, whether it is the need to aid someone with comforting words, sharing some news that you feel are important, seek some distraction from the woes of everyday life, if the benefits outweigh the misunderstandings and hissing spats (some are funny, you have to admit that) then you should not deprive yourself and those that might need your words of the opportunity. If the forum is causing you more stress and headaches than comfort, a break might provide a reprieve, and time to reflect if returning is the best thing for YOU.
  It is amazing how one day we can be in such an irritable state and let our words and body language reflect that(if any of mine did, sorry for that), and others we can let anything slide. It is life.
Most of all, We care what happens to others and each other and that is the link that binds us,  it can overcome most of our differences.

I just wanted to make a comment.
I am not one to get involved with any disputes. I am really a person of serenity. (i was not always like this) But I have learned throughout my life not to judge anyone. I try to put myself in their shoes.
I do not catorgize (sp) anyone by their race, religion, size,  social status, If they had experimented with drugs...or others things.
Some of the comments you have made about drug use, made me think that you did not realize the effect that you would have on some of your fellow heppers.
The way that you came off is like you are looking down upon some. People with addictions did make a choice to use, however they had their reasons to this. Some people have a predispositon to addiction, some come from poverty and abuse.
You come off as you are a christian. However I do not see the compassion. When I come to a place where I feel like reacting in a negative way. I ask myself WWJD ?  
I do not mean any of this in a negative way, only to open your eyes.

We should not judge anyone for their religion or their non-religion. That is not what we are here for.

TB,,,,I realize at this point we are definitely going to have to find you another treatment for hep as this tx has probably made you look at us and run as far as you can.  There is some crazy days and I guess we all don't think about at time,,,Someone is always bound to get hurt!  All of us come from so many different backgrounds whether we are rich, middle or poor,,,Bottom line is,,,We are sick.  You got to admit,,,,some of those postings yesterday are hysterical about you tossing bananas and running cuteus and ring up a tree with a stick! haha  Its all in fun at times and then can end harsh!  I can speak only for myself and am sure that so many feel same way about your trying to have a baby!  I only wish you the very best!!

Dear Heavenly Father, I come to you today, in PRAISE of YOUR HOLY NAME. I praise you GOD, for helping us all who are sick, or have family members who are sick. I Praise you Father for touching our hearts and our souls. I thank you for answering so many prayers that I have sent up to YOU LORD. Heavenly Father it is so wonderful to come here to this forum and hear so many testimonies of how you are healing our Hep C family! I Praise you Father for providing us our needs and for letting Your LIGHT GOD, shine in our eyes, so that others may see Christ in us. Heavenly Father -

I ask you to send Your great compassion and comfort today, not only to all those here, but to all in the world whose hearts are weary with struggle and pain.  Lead us all to the rock that is stronger and greater than we, and be for all a strong fortress to shelter us from fatigue and sickness.  We know we must travel a long road back to health, but grant us courage for the battle, comfort when times are worst, and strong hearts to face this challenge.  We are grateful to you for the many victories over this disease experienced and shared here almost daily, and please Father grace us each one day with that same victory.

This I pray in the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
