I wonder if the procrit stops the hgb from falling as soon as you take your first shot . I took my first shot of procrit on Friday and all I want to do is sleep.
So glad my doctor was on top of it I was only 10.8 at 4 week blood test. Just did 6th shot and the first procrit shot the next day and am feeling the fatigue starting to really hit.I would assume from the time you take the blood test get the result and get the procrit your hgb is probably lower. Just speculating why I feel so tired and hoping the procrit starts to work.
No sides just like everyone else said. The shot did hurt a little.
I didn't have any side effects from the procrit -- just good effects.
It does burn going in and does help to roll the vial in your hands for awile to warm it up. Other than that, it is bearable.
working dog - I still am mad at them letting you go that far down before they would even prescribe. I hope you get to feeling normal soon

i wish i had started the procrit when i was in the 9s....i think thats great you got on it....my anemia is wiping me out...i don't think any of my sx are from the procrit...good luck...billy
My husband also felt no negative side effects from Procrit (he dosed for approximately 2 years) -- the burning at time of injection was really the worst of it. As Dave says, it does seem to help warming to room temperature before administering, and injecting slowly takes the sting out of it.
Hope your platelets and hemoglobin both rebound soon. Best wishes. ~eureka
No real side effects when I took it, just the burn from injecting. Getting the medication to room temp and injecting slowly helped with that if is an issue for you. Hopefully the promacta will keep you platelets in check long enough to get your svr. Wonderful news on the 8 day und. Are you getting any sides from the promacta? Do you take it daily?
Good luck,
Dave
I dont have any sx from the procrit. Took a good 4 weeks for it to take full effect . But you might respond quicker.
I was on procrit in 2007 and I dont remember any side effects from the drug just good results, meaning you should start to feel better within a week. I think I used to get a pain at injection site, but that was it.
