Procrit questions

I know there's been a lot of talk about procrit here but I'm wondering if anyone has rec'd pt assistance for the meds and how long it takes to boost your rbc's?
My doc gave me a rx for procrit and I have contacted Patient Assistance b/c my insurance won't cover the meds. Has anyone else rec'd help with this? I'm supposed to hear if I qualify within 48 hours. The doc says that Procrit works very quickly and that my rbc's should be back to normal soon but am wondering what your experieces with the drug are.
I'm hoping to get help bc otherwise I'll have to reduce tx and of course don't wanna do that. Thanks!
