Procrit ?'s

Hi all...week 24 still und but hgb down from 10.4 to 9.3 so prescribed 1 ml procrit. Had another cbc panel today so will be called tomorrow if the levels are lower. I'm a little nervous about filling syringe since my pegasys is prefilled, and do you let it come to room temp.? i forgot to ask pharmacist. any helpful tips?? thanks..i'd access archives but could barely turn computer on today...i think the cost shock finally hit me!!

hope your hgbs return to normal for you. if you check my thread (procrit,dangers w;tx) you will find a lot of good info on procrit.

the needle issue for me was i took it out of the icebox take the syringe pull the plunger all the way back but not completely, then take the cap off of the procrit vile push the needle into the vile tell the needle is in the vile then push the air from the needle into the vile and turn the vile upside while the needle is still in the vile and start pulling the procrit into the needle while slowly pulling the needle back out of the vile.  when all the procrit is in your needle your ready.

i dont make mine room temp.  i just do it all fresh from the fridge
