It's quite common that interferon flares existing psoriasis. If you haven't already, first you have to get to a dermatologist that specializes in psoriasis. There are a number of different kinds, sometimes requiring different treatment, including plaque, guttate, inverse, and plantar pustular psoriasis. Hopefully, your derm will also biopsy one or more sites -- as other immuno spressed conditions (for example cutaneous t-cell lymphona) can mimic psoriasis.

I had all of the aforementioned and used a combination of treatments including topical steroids, immunosuppresants such as protopic and elidel, Dovonex, UVB Narrow Band light treatment and Xtrac Laser for the plantar pustular on feet and hands. Had those treatments not repressed the psoriasis, the next step would have been systemics which aren't particularly great for the liver, but at that point the choice would have been systemics or stopping treatment.

If you're experiencing such a serious whole body outbreak at 10 weeks, I wouldn't dabble in self-diagnosis or meds folks might recommend for what is sometimes called riba rash. Riba rash is not psoriasis. Get a good diagnosis and go from there. Meanwhile be very careful with topical steroids on the face, as chronic use can thin the skin and eventually make thing worse.

If you got the bucks, time, etc., hop a plane and go to the Dead Sea. Dead Sea treatment actually has about a 100% success rate. You can google it. Here's a good dermo site you might also be interested in. http://www.dermnetnz.org/

What you got can be really tough, I know. All the best.

Lowest place on earth? Nah, that was my house last Thursday at the same time that it was the the highest at your place. When will I be able to google 'JMJM Race Results'?

Let's make that 80-90% success rate after 4 weeks according to Nat Psoriasis Foundation, although I've read close to 100% success rate from other sources. Apparently it has less to do with the minerals and salt content of the Dead Sea itself (although they may help some) than the fact that the Dead Sea is the lowest point on Earth, allowing all-day sunbathing with no sunburn.

I see at least your sense of humor hasn't been lowered. You could google it now, except you'd have to substitute something else for JMJM :) Hope you had a good weekend.

I've been reading your posts for close to a year now and, as many people do, you say something like '59 y/o male...'. You've been 59 for a long time. Does the '530' part of your name imply that you are going to make an odometer change later this month. If so I like the ring of 'hep free in my sixties' for you.

Had a refreshing weekend and all is better and back to a more even keel.  At least I will have a respite that you do not get to enjoy. Yuk, the prospecs of re-treating!  Although I have always had great respect for the multi-tx folks it's almost unimaginable how people can take that first shot or riba five or six times over.  Hope you are well - another week done for you.

Let's not rush things please, as the 530 has no signficance other than to conspiracy theorists. LOL. I started treatment at 58.
