Question about VL

Before Tx VL was 47-48 ML
At 8/15 VL und
At 9/16 VL was 2.99 log
At 11/26 VL was 6.67 log
What does the VL in log translate to in ML?  And...what does this tell me as far as anything else goes?  I know it does not impact tx but does it indicate any damage being done?
Opinions/Answers are welcome and appreciated.
Thanks

The only thing you can tell by the numbers posted is that you had a relapse. That means of course, that unfortunately you were not cured. However, it does not necessarily mean you have any more liver damage. Liver damage and viral load had no correlation.

Also a viral load test has a variation of half a log up or down. This means that a viral load of log 7.17 could actually show as low as log 6.67 or as high as log 7.67. So you actually may be back at pre tx level already.

2.99 is the log of 975 IU/ml.
6.67 is the log of 4'700'000 IU/ml.
7.67 is the log of 47'000'000 IU/ml.

You are still a log below your baseline viral load. I don't think the rising of the viral load post tx has anything to do with liver damage at all. Rather it might be that the virus is taking its time to get back to pre tx levels.

Sorry to hear you relapsed,
Za

No Bobby, I'm finished with Tx.  I was und from 4 weeks all the way thru tx.
At 4 weeks post tx it was at the 2.99 log....and rising.  Not sure what this may mean as far as what's going on with my liver....if anything.
Thanks.

Are you on treatment. Because if you are and you reached UND and then the Viral load came back your DR. should of taken you off of treatment. This is called breakthru. It basically means the interferon stopped working.
