Question about haptoglobin level

Question about haptoglobin level

I am hoping maybe someone out there has already done the homework on this as I am having a little difficulty with this one. One of the results I got from my blood tests that was out of a range was my haptoglobin. It was high 2.40 (g/L). The normal range is 0.26- 1.85.

I know what Haptoglobin is, it is a blood protein made in the liver. I also know that decreased levels can be found if you suffer from anemia, which I do not have. All I found is increased levels can be due to injury, tissue destruction, some cancers,  burns, surgery, trauma. I also read that some drugs can cause increased levels also. Does anyone have any experience with this? Does the PEG and Riba cause this? Is it a normal byproduct of my treatment? I never really trying to understand what it means. If anyone can help I appreciate it.
