Question regarding donating plasma

by funkerdoink, Jul 21, 2008 08:54PM
So a little more than two years ago after donating blood I received a letter telling me that HCV was found in my blood. I went through all the treatments (interferon/riboflavin) and after seven months I was told that the treatment worked surprisingly well and the HCV was out of my system.

Now my question... with hepatitis no longer in my system, would I be able to donate plasma? Is it worth a try to go to the donation center and donate some anyways, and tell them my situation there, see what they have to say? Anyone with similar experiences? Any help is appreciated.
