Questions for the doctor

I'm going to be going to my doctor for the first time since my biopsy to discuss treatment. My previous experience with him (he's a GI) has been that he only gives out the minimum of important info... kind of like he thinks the less I know the better... which I totally disagree with. Everybody on here has been through my stage and beyond so let me have it.... all the questions you wished you had asked but didn't in the beginning.

Hi Diane:

Do you know your viral load?, stage and grade of liver disease, the different treatment options, side effects, how often should you have a biopsy, how often you should have blood tests for liver production like enzymes, alt ect...

Many of these questions can be found on the web. A really great place to get answers is to visit: Janis and friends or Hepatitis Neighborhood.  These helped me immensely.

Good luck with your appt.
