RECORDING RIBA

Heres a little strategy i am now doing...as soon as i crack open a bottle of pills i count them first to make sure they are all there...who knows, they may have miss pakaged them...this way if i forget or miss a dose,i can recount the remaining lillte babies and know exactly whats goin on...what you think?

While i try not to think to much, one question though. What do you do if you run out of fingers and toes before you have them all counted?

I have 2 weekly pill boxes with 4 compartments for each day. I filled them both the day I got my meds and I also have all my supplements in there. I only refill the empty box, once it is totally finished. So it is fool proof. I'm in week 12 and have not missed a single dose of any of the stuff I take.

Be easy on yourself and buy a 7-day a.m.-p.m. pill holder  it will really help when the brain fog sets in.

I tried the counting method once but never could remember to include all the pill boxes and pants pockets, not to mention all the riba somewhere on the carpet or under a pillow on the couch -- speaking of which about a year post treatment I found a riba under a bookcase I had to move and decided to take it for old time's sake. Not.

It's not rocket science.  AM & PM with food.  Have never missed a dose of riba. 33 weeks.  Forgot my box of peg at work and postponed injection one day but thats it.

How can you forget - not rocket science!  I have a weekly pill box that I fill on Friday nights or Sat am's - has am and pm pills.  I find that is good.  I don't want to forget - if I am doing this, it is for keeps and for sure 100%.

As soon as I take my riba I note it straight away on a calendar with the time - it's really helped me figure out what's best for sleeping, stomach upsets etc.  

I know writing down the time sounds complicated, but the pill box drove me nuts (I kept forgetting where it was).   I now put the tablets in the pill 'lid' and don't screw the lid back on until I've noted I've taken them (this was after missing an evening dose once).  Now that it's written down, I don't have to rely on my memory cells which are seriously depleted lol!!!.

With my doc's permission, I now take 2 am, 1 in the arvo and 2 pm.   I try to keep the am and pm at least 10 hours apart.

I know i will need some sort of pill box....i have to take 18 freaking pills a day....i repeat    18...4 BOC pills 3 times and 3 riba`s 2 times a day...now it sounds a litle scary....LOL...im trying to laugh...its hard..

I hve to take the BOC pills at 7 am...ill be on the way to work then...at 3 pm...that way ill be on break at work...i can sneak them down easy at my break...and 11 pm...just before bed...the riba will be taken at 6 am...as soon as i rise...and 6 pm...as soon as i get home from work...PERFECT
