I had sweating at night. As soon as I ended tx it stopped. I thought maybe it was my hormones going wacko but it was the meds or both. All is back to normal 22 days EOT.
Yep. Sure. Every morning and evening for 21 weeks so far, about 30 minutes after taking the Ribavirin incredible hot flushes, sweating like a pig, Tylenol doesn't help, just have to sit still in front of a fan until it passes. Not always possible though. Often arrive at work looking like I just got out of the pool.
Taking a Tylenol did not have an effect on the heat I feel in my head or the sounds I get in my ears. I don't get a full body hot flash or sweat, it is really just my face, scalp & the back of my head. Even my husband feels the heat (which is amazing since he tends to downplay stuff like that so I don't freak out). I have taken my vitals a couple of times when this happened since I wondered if it could be related to blood pressure. It doesn't seem to be. This happened last time I treated with Riba as well so I am ruling out drug interactions.
Yes, that happens to me! Red hot face! Let me know if tylenol works :)
About an hour after I take my RIBA my face and head get really hot. It's not painful or anything but it is curiously hot. Also, I have this constant thud in the back of my head. It sounds like an athletic shoe in the dryer. Exactly like that but not as loud. I take my RIBA early in the morning so I can go back to bed for a few hours. These two sides are annoying but nothing I even want to know what the cause is since I have no intention of adjusting my RIBA.
***I did take a Tylenol with my evening dose just to see if that helps.
I will try to notice if I sweat more, after the Riba. I have noticed dizzy, and some nausea, and also a tired feeling in my back. I think the Interferon is making my muscles weaker, but I'm still not gonna read the sx for the Interferon~ there will be plenty of time to get back into shape, slowly, afer this triple tx~
Hemoglobin. test for anemia. If they said your labs were good then you're doing just fine.
Sorry, whts hgb? My last app said labs were all good, I'm between week 4-5. When I started tx my hematocrit was high, which I've had before.?? My nurse says I'll probly never get anemic.??
How is your hgb lately? What week are you on?
Yes I'm always sweating about 45 min after taking RIBA . If I get a BIG glass full of ice and water it seems to help.
Lol@ man deodorant. I had heard we were supposed to avoid deodorants with fragrance, but I stopped wearing deodorant a long time ago. So I did notice some powerful sweat coming from the arm-pit area, a few days back, I thought maybe I was getting sick, I dont usually reek like that, and then it went away, like all these other roving symptoms. Ihad assumed it was the warmer weather, cuz it's rainy now, and I'm feelin fresh
I have heard that this tx and the hot weather dont go well together. I'm in Cali, and lost Saturday we had a rly hot day! I wet my shirt, and put it around my neck and chest, it was cold and soaking wet, but didn't seem to cool me down much at all, but worked better then doing nothing.
Another guy I know (he is only on the Inf and Riba) took his shirt off in this weather, and got a Riba rash on his torso, he said it was bright red~
I usually try to keep dry with corn starch powder, if I get too sweaty, to avoid a rash~
I have not had the hot flashes but have been sweating like crazy..I have man deodorant on right now because mine no longer works! I thought this was a symptom of anemia but has not gone away since my transfusion. Are you sweating too?
