Raised LFTs after SVR

hello folks!

Hope you all will be doing good. A brief medical history of mine is given below:
i) i was first diagnosed with HCV in 2003 and i got my treatment in 2004 for 6 months (with PEG-INTRON & RIBAVIRIN). At the end of  my treatment in 2004 my PCR was negative (SVR Achieved).

ii) Then i tested for PCRs in the years 2005 ,2010 and Aug 2012(most recent one)..they were all Negative..

I have not been feeling well for past two weeks or so... I have mild abdominal cramps, IBS sydrome and poor digestion.

I have recently drawn some blood tests and their results are:

Blood Complete Picture.......... (Normal).

E.S.R.....................................(Normal)

LFTs................................ ALT is 75 u/l.... range is 0-40 u/l.

I am bit worried about my elevated Liver Enzymes(ALT). Is this a sign of Relapse? Am i supposed to draw a blood test for PCR? when the previous PCR report (that was some 7 months ago) was NEGATIVE.

And one thing more i visited my Gastroenterologist three to four days ago. After examination she said i am suffering from gastroenteritis (mild infection in my intestines) and prescribed me ciprofloxacin for 5 days +Famotidine for 7 days + Folic Acid for 10 days.. These medicines could raise my LFTs high as well??? please Provide me with your feed back.. Take care

Cheers...

Can-do-man is right.  When you are cured you are cured. Very comforting to hear.

Hey guy, you really need to get over being obsessed with HCV, it's gone and it's not coming back... You are never going to relapse. Listen to your doctor. Good luck.
