Rash Question

I searched the forum about Riba rash and see so much different experience.  I'd appreciate input from anyone whos gone through this on the following:

I'm only in my second week of treatment (1200 Riba and Peg).  I'm getting two kinds of rash:
The first kind is a general body rash that looks like measles - reddish bumps all over my behind, lower back, under arms, forearms and inner thighs. The rash is spreading and there is a LOT of it.   It seems to concentrate on places that are the hottest  (which doesn't explain why they are all over my behind - or maybe it does! {g}  ) .The rash doesn't itch oddly very much at all enough.

The second kind of rash is two circular patches, one right over my first injection site and one about 10 inches above that.  Both rashes are about 3 inches in diameter and they look like every capillary in the area "exploded".  Reddish lines  like blood vessels running all throughout a reddish skin area.

A half tab of generic benedryl taken once every 12 hours seems to help the pinpley-measles rash quite a bit. Does nothing for the circular "capillary" rash.

1. How concerned should I be about this?
2. Do these rashes mean anything bad about my blood counts?
3. Should I go back and see my doctor today? (yes, I know that's probably a stupid question but I don;t want to be a whiner.)

Appreciate help from anyone with similar experience.

i have tried everything over the counter and prescribed.  here is whats getting me through the day right now:

showers not baths, luke warm water
  aveno and gold bond
prozac 10 mg (helps reduces itching)
  lots of water

What did your doctor say the rashes indicated?  Anything important?  Did she say if they might be related to anything positive or negative going on in your body?  I suppose I'll have to see a stupid VA doctor  today (more likely I'll see an intern or a P.A) .  That's never a fun thing. :(

Most of rashes are related to riba.  i saw the dermtoglist just to be certain, and she actually biopsyed one of the bumps to be sure.  I would just have them look at it and basically in my experiene if its from the riba, you will have to find what works for you.  Bendraly may help,   Read threads on riba rash its been discuseed alot.

I mostly have just the itchy dry skin.  Early in tx I got the red bumps on my shins, furious itching and flaking skin.  I'm allergic to benadryl so I used oatmeal baths and lots of lotion.  The rash on my shins went away in a few weeks, the dry skin goes on and on.
