Red Palms

I know I have read somewhere about red palms related to liver disease but I can't remember what or where.  When I went to see the hep doc last week he turned my palms over and looked at them. Can someone please enlighten me?  I am anxiously awaiting getting my test results in the mail this week which will show my genotype and viral load, also another Hep Panel.  I haven't posted much since I have been waiting for the results but I read everyday.  It's such a comfort knowing you all are here!

a holistic doc i was going to looked at my palms also.this was before i was dx. she even commented that my palms were red, but didn't elaborate and i guess my brain was on break because i didn't think of asking her why they were red until i got in the parking lot. I don't have cirrohsis, so I don't know why they look red, maybe because as a red head, skin tone is naturally reddish? but its a good question you ask. Don't worry too much about it, is probably part of his exam and you can ask him when you see him again. I found myself looking at everyones palms without telling them. didn't do that for too long because I then needed to focus on checking my nails against everyones elses to see if i had terrys nails.lol this disease can have ya talking to yourself in no time. we have to read to know whats going on, but it can make you feel you have everything you read.
