Resperate Device For Lowering Blood Pressure

Resperate Device For Lowering Blood Pressure

Anyone use it? How did it work?
http://www.resperate.com/

Just stopped taking Cozaar because of side effects. My BP is only marginally high so I  thought I'd be more agressive with lifestyle changes and/or relaxation/biofeedback devices like this.

Just occured to me that I might have had use for such a device during treatment to help curb riba rage. Sort of like "taking a deep breath" but apparently you do it for fifteen minutes :)

My mom uses this, along with long peaceful walks, and it helps her, though she still has to use bp meds....as a side note, she never had high bp before, never, she used Vioxx one week years ago now and it upped her bp permanently I guess...I shudder to think if she would of used it for more then that, I'm glad they took that off the market...

Deep breathing exercises too? along with meditation might help...I've been doing deep breathing exercises and meditation and yoga for years, and I guess it's paid off in more ways then one...

I recently had a huge series of tests by a very good gatekeeper/internist who tests people thoroughly before they do treatment, my hepatologist sends all his patients to him...

and he gets patients before they do chemo for cancer.....I can't tell you what a great doctor this guy is, a doc like this puts my faith back in the medical profession! lol...he asked me my whole medical family history, what I eat on a daily basis, what my sleeping habits were, everything....he actually felt all my neck for glandular probes, along with complete blood and hormonal testing, etc etc...did every kind of blood test possible, vitamin deficiencies, a complete urine analysis, he's in the process of doing a lot of heart testing, etc..etc etc.....

What I found was a very positive thing, is he tested my lung capacity...he says lung capacity is a very important thing in terms of treating, cause treatment is hard on the pulmonary system for a lot of people, and good breathing and lungs will help your system better able to cope with the drugs...he said I had lungs like a swimmers, and I hardly ever swim, lol

he said my yoga and breathing exercises really helped me this way...breathing is everything, and doing good breathing exercises is very good for bp, if you don't do them already....and I'd try yoga, nothing better for the system and calming down the whole system...I find some people have problems with meditation, but can do yoga alright, there are plenty of good tapes you can buy and watch on TV, if you don't want to go to a center to take classes...hope this helps (I already know youre eating a pretty good diet as well, and have cut down on salt, etc...)

Can you pack this guy up and mail him to me? ."I can't tell you what a great doctor this guy is" is an understatement. My docs -- like so many -- just lie in wait until something serious develops. Until then, they basically do nothing but dispense pills for bp, cholesterol, etc.

yeah, we had to wait a long time in the waiting room, cause he takes soooo long with each patient...remember that? lol...after I told him how grateful I was to have gone to him, and to get so thoroughly checked out by someone so nice and thoughtful...he told me he aspires to be (he was in his mid-forties maybe?) a good, old-fashioned doctor, only up on all the latest information and cutting-edge technology...I am soooo glad I found him...he doesn't seem to be the type to let too much slip by...and boy, does his office follow up on you! a little bit too much I'd wager...I wanted a little break from testing, but they keep calling, ha ha ha! they find and hunt down us procrastinators.....:)

could be all those evenings at the submarine races.....

aren't we the selective one on who's doing the checking outing?
