Ringing in my ears

I experience incessant ringing in my ears.  I have read your entries and the best description is that of electrical sounds instead of crickets.  At times I also hear my pulse like someone is puffing in my ear.  I have begun to track it.  It mostly happens when I recline or lie down.  Any comment?

I am so sorry.  It took till this morning to find the post.   My heart is with you and your children.  Its a hard thing to deal with.  You are a good person letting him stay with you.  My ex always comes to me for help.  I infact got a call from him last week, asking if I knew anyone who had a room for rent.. He is in Oklahoma City right now and moving back to Tampa.  I made a few calls, but I could not offer him a room here.   I am with Mike now, and how would I react if he asked if his ex could move in.   NOT>..  I know it will take time to get thru this, but you are a survivor !   You will make it, and although its hard for the kids to grow up without their father, they still have you.  And I am sure you will meet someone,   As time goes on it gets easier to deal with, but they will always be there in your hearts, and memories.    My prayers are with you...

Yes, NYgirl7 is right on, it happened to me about 5 weeks into my tx. I ignored it at first, thinking that I have water in my ear or something, then I was feeling even more tired, my throat was hurting and burning on and off. I called and told my Dr. about my symptoms, and because of the knowledge you get from this forum of wonderful people, I mentioned about Procriet and possible aneimia. He had me take some tests and low and behold, I was really low and had to go onto Procriet right away. This is my third week and I am starting to feel so much better. So call your Dr. about this, and he will help yo out , before you feel even worse.  Good  luck.

My husband died suddenly last Sunday morning and life has been living hell.  We are trying to move on - we were loving our new place but now it's not so damn easy expecting him to bump around every corner.

As you might know we were 'separated' for many years but still together in the sense that he lived in my home in another bedroom - I was trying to help him get back on his feet after some situations and it was the first time my son (16) remembers living with his dad since he was four I think.

So it's been shocking and hard and I didn't WANT to come back to work but corporate america BS gives you a whole great big nice three days death benefits - I still took ten days off anyway but finally started running out.

Whew.............there I said it out loud.

Nygirl is totally correct with her answer.  If you are on tx, yes when the cbc drop fast and at one time the ears start to ring and ring and ring.  Post tx I do not have the problem anymore.  I did have a few rings lately because my sinus's are going bonkers, but other than that it cleared up post tx.

NYgirl:
Have not seen you post lately.  How are you and how are things going post tx.  72 weeks, wow, what a long haul.  Hope things are getting back to normal for you.  The last I heard you had moved.  How are you liking your new place.  Hope all is well and you are enjoying life.

if you have already started treatment that is one of the classics signs of hemoylitic anemia.  when my hemo dropped drastically downwards and began to spiral I could NOT get the ringing in my head to go away.

If you aren't on treatment - get to an ENT but if you are perhaps you should have a CBC done right away to check./

just a guess but as a long time sinus suffererer, it sounds like you have thick fluid in your ears and/or your eustachian tubes. time to see your internist or better yet an ENT
