Robo update

Some good news!
Week 36 Undetectable (since day 8).  12 weeks left.
feel ok. sides well-controlled.  Only mild nausea and trouble sleeping.  I lost about 20 lbs since start of tx.  Don't really like being asked by friends/colleagues if I'm ok  ("you got so thin")  I'm 184lbs.
Never thought I'd make it this far given previous experience and my advanced disease and hemophilia/HIV co-morbidities.
In the homestretch now.

Thanks for the kind words and support.  I'm so much more familiar with physical pain than emotion pain.  I will be ok.  Worried about kids.

Congrat on UND. Sorry to hear about your marrige. Its always sad to end relationships.   Believe me, most of us have had our heart stomped on and nothing hurts as bad as heartbreak.   You will survive it and it will not be as painful as time goes by. Stay close to your childern they need you. Good luck in life and treatment.

Almost there my dear friend !!  almost there !!
Pretty soon you will be SVR.

You have crossed many hard roads and you will cross this one.
The ending of your marriage is very sad.  I'm sure your children
need you Rob and you need them.

Sending Hugs,

Awesome news that you are fighting the good fight!  For the mild nausea, I find that chewing mint (peppermint, spearmint, etc.) gum helps.  As for the collateral damage, you have my sympathies.  Be kind to yourself and don't let it rob you of your joy.  You are doing what you need to, to get healed.

Ah jeez, Rob-

So sorry to hear it came to this. You had no choice, no other way around this; treatment was necessary to survive. The kids will be okay; it might take them time to understand what happened, but stick with them and they’ll forgive over the long run.

Time is ticking away; very cool you’ve made it this far, and it sounds like every indication suggests success regarding viral eradication. It’s been a long haul for you; please keep the group informed as you go forward, both from a medical as well as personal perspective.

Best wishes from the west coast-

--Bill

Seems that I am likely to survive, but my marriage has died.  It's a powerless feeling that despite all of the obstacles I've overcome that a marriage breakdown will be my demise.  My heart is broken in a million pieces for my 3 children that I adore.  My spouse was never supportive, never came to an appointment and never comforted me during the many times I was feeling lousy during treatment.  If your spouse is supportive and a partner in your fight against Hep C you are lucky.  This has nothing to do with riba rage, depression, or other side effect, just collateral damage.
